Abstract: This paper, having like background the thesis the end of modernity, analyzes the main characteristics of the contemporary philosophy. The relevance of language, the suspicion against reason, the hegemony of the scientific knowledge in the culture and the thesis of the end of metaphysics are related questions to each other that draw something as well as skyline of the contemporary philosophy.
